Initial Observation:

Finding inspiration in the self-started fashion designer, Alexander Wang. Juxtaposition of a New York vibe and the effortless look of Wang’s clothing carelessly draped over a sleek female frame. Only a hint of color, with bold and loud features. Young, sassy, sexy yet tough and often humorous.

Final Destination:
I sought to create a paint packaging line that targeted professional women aged 25-45 desiring a hip and trendy look that appears effortless. I pulled from Wang’s clothing line of sultry and sexy, yet striped down clothing to come up with a clean aesthetic for the paint cans. I used the inspiration of a fashion look book to create a paint swatch book. Bold Didot type paired with a minimalist look and stark white and black presence allows the design to appeal to the casual girl wanting to bring intrigue and a touch of sophistication into their home. What New York woman doesn’t want to feel like they just got off the runway?
